Join Us in Ending Hunger and Poverty

The HOPE International for Community Development has a heart for underserved communities in San Antonio, Texas and other parts of the world. We look for areas where our services can make a tremendous difference—places where poverty and hunger problems stifle dreams. With these goals in mind, The HICD works with other existing organizations.

HICD is ready to make basic supplies kit to distribute to refugees and needy families in the community

The Hope International for Community Development (HICD) is a faith based organization. Our mission is to assist the poor with sustainable programs to progress. Our clients include the needy individuals, refugees and families from the community. 

Programs offered by HICD include: hunger ministry, refugee assistance, job placement, and case management social service assistance.

The Agency also offers referral services, and assists refugees and needy community members with resources and educate the community about various welfare resources. The Hunger ministry provides assistance with the support of the churches since 2011 assisting each year about 2000 individuals. Through the San Antonio Area Foundation funding, HICD assisted several evacuees of Hurricane Harvey with food, basic needs and rental/utility assistance.

As partners with Health Collaborative Agency's HUB Navigators Program as Care Coordination Agencies (CCAs) and one of our staff funded by Health Collaborative -Community Health Worker provides face to face visits and community care coordination to facilitate improving health and social outcomes for enrolled community members.

What We Have Achieved So Far 

  • With the support of churches since 2011, our hunger ministry has been assisting at least 2,000 individuals each year. 
  • Through the San Antonio Area Foundation funding, HICD assisted several evacuees of Hurricane Harvey with food, basic needs, and rental/utility assistance.

The HCID Annual Mission Trips

The HOPE International Network serves in Africa, Asia, and the United States. See firsthand how lives change by joining The HICD annual mission trips to Africa and Asia. There's no better way to make our vision come to life than to see how lives transform.

Attending a HOPE International Trip will give you the opportunity to see poverty and hunger be alleviated. You will also witness proclamations and how the clients and local church leaders live out the Word of God. Trips normally take three to five days. Experience our ministry and learn how you can join us in transforming lives in different parts of the world, particularly in Kenya, India, and Texas.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we host various special events. You can assist our team by participating in our quarterly fundraiser events and year-end holiday meal services. The schedules may vary. Please contact us for more information.

We also provide refugee and immigrant services. Join us in organizing, inventorying, and distributing basic supplies to refugees and immigrants on a quarterly basis. This program is a good opportunity for churches and groups. Reach out to us for more information about this event.

Special Projects

Aside from events, we also conduct special projects. One of our upcoming projects is the Census 2020.
